Growth Mindset
I never heard of Carol Dweck until I saw the video that was posted for class. With that being said, I never learned about growth mindset before until I watched the videos. I definitely agree on the idea how students, especially kids, should focus on the room for improvement rather than dwelling in the gap that needs to be reached.
Before I changed my major to psychology, I was struggling with chemical engineering classes. I remember always getting low grades on my test, but the fact was, everyone was also getting the similar score. The classes are meant to be hard to challenge students to keep trying. I think that while I was majoring in chemical engineering, it gave me the mindset that I could always do better if I kept studying and working hard.
Furthermore, I think that I’ll be interested in learning more about growth mindset. One of my major goal for this semester is to make a 4.0 GPA! I believe that if I work on my study habits and time manage correctly, I will be able to accomplish my goal!
