Time Strategies
I believe that time management is a vital skill to learn in order to become successful. With that being said, time management is the process of organizing and planning how time will be distributed to a particular task and/or event. Being able to manage your time effectively allows one to work smarter, not harder. Furthermore, failing to manage your time properly can have negative impacts, such as an increase in stress level.
As someone who is easily stressed out by anything and everything, I have a bullet journal that enables me to keep track of all the deadlines and stuff needed for school, work, and other organizations that I’m involved in. Additionally, I also use a checklist in my journal that kind of helps me identify what else needs to be finished before the end of the day as described in the article “The Psychology of Checklists” written by Lauren Marchese.
Furthermore, in the article “Eat The Frogs First Thing in The Morning (And Other Better Work Habits),” I learned how important it is to prioritize your time by effectively managing your frog, or unwanted task, first thing in the morning. This way, by completing the task, not only does it get out of you way, but it also gives you a sense of accomplishment throughout the day. Moreover, from the articles that I’ve read, I’ve learned to prioritize my tasks by importance and complete them in that order to alleviate any stress I may have from procrastinating or finishing unimportant things first.
